Thanks to Luke Bryan, a 15-year-old horse is on its way to a full recovery after tumbling 15 feet into the Harpeth River Thursday. According to Nashville’s WSMV, an Appaloosa named Misty wandered too far from its home in Franklin, Tennessee and took a terrifying spill when a rain-soaked riverbank gave way. Luckily, Luke, who lives nearby, was boating by and spotted the horse. He stopped and, along with a friend, notified Misty’s owners and rescuers. It took a team and about a dozen people several hours to free Misty, whose owner Janet McCormick said, “You can’t thank anybody enough for taking an interest and being so helpful and genuine. And it’s a blessing to have good neighbors.”
