Garth Brooks, Connie Smith and Hargus "Pig" Robbins became the newest class of inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame during Nashville's invitation-only Medallion Ceremony Sunday.

The red-carpet event included several all-star musical tributes honoring each inductee:

• Ronnie Dunn kicked off the night with George Jones' "White Lightning" in honor of Hargus.
• Lee Ann Womack performed "You've Got Me (Right Where You Want Me)" for Connie.
• Hall of Famer George Strait performed "Much Too Young (to Feel This Damn Old)" in honor of Garth.
• Trisha Yearwood backed James Taylor on Garth's "The River."
• Bob Seger performed Garth's "That Summer."

As with tradition, all the Hall of Famers in attendance including, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris and Merle Haggard, joined the 2012 class for a performance of the closing song "Will The Circle Be Unbroken."
