All About Me
What can I say??? Originally from Harrisburg, AR. Lived in Northeast Arkansas for most of my life. Started working in radio back in 2000, and it's the best job in the world to me! I'm a huge music fan. Doesn't matter if it's listening to it or playing it, music is what I love!
Favorites:
Music: Country, Rock and Blues are my favorites. I'm a big fan of George Strait, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Reba McEntire, Sugarland, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley. (Being a guitar player, I have to say they're two of the best!)
Movies: I would have to say that I like Pure Country, Walk The Line, Days of Thunder, Pirates of the Carribean (all 3), Resident Evil (all 3 again!) and any scary movie I can find.
TV: Lost, CSI: Las Vegas, Mythbusters, Iron Chef (I love to cook, and it just cracks me up sometimes.), Throwdown with Bobby Flay, and a show called Ninja Warrior... It's crazy to see how seriously these people take the show!
Food: Italian (Lasagna!), Mexican, anything spicy...
Things to do: Play guitar, read (Wheel Of Time Series), basketball, volleyball, video games from time to time (Halo, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo series, Silent Hill), fishing, rock climbing, you name it! |

Til I Was A Daddy Too
You know, I heard that song by Tracy Lawrence, and I never really got the whole message until I found out that I was going to be a daddy... All of the sudden, things really started to make sense in a new way. And I have to give credit to Tracy on this one. He really tells it like it is with that song.
Anyway, the latest update is that my wife and I are going to the doc on Monday for our first checkup. From what I'm told, it's going to be a really long and boring visit. There is a plus side, though... We'll see our first ultrasound! (From what I understand, the baby is about the size of a blueberry right now, but I'm excited, so there's that)
If you're a parent-to-be or if you're a new parent, I'd love to hear from you about all the different stuff that's happening. Makes things easier to understand than all the doctor lingo...

I've heard of having "two left feet" when it comes to dancing, but never two right feet. Apparently, someone thought I would need it!
Over the weekend, I went to buy some new shoes... The pair that I usually wear is starting to give out and it was time to retire them to "lawn duty". I went into the store to pick up a new pair, and noticed some sneakers that were on sale. Tried on the right shoe, it fit, so I grab the box and check out.
Got the new shoes home that night, laced them up and got ready to wear them... That's when I realized that there were two RIGHT SHOES in the box! The only thing I could do was wonder why. Then I heard from a friend that people have been taking a 5 finger discount on shoes, but only getting one at a time so they don't get caught... I don't know if that's true, but I do have a friendly word of advice. Guys, if you're going to buy new shoes, TRY BOTH ON FIRST!
Seacrest's Shark Tale

Shark Attack
Over the weekend, Ryan Seacrest was attacked by a shark. The first thing that came to my mind was something in a movie or one of those "animals attack" videos...
Instead, Ryan was about 8 feet from the beach, when a very small shark decided to bite his foot. No rush to the hospital, just a couple of Advil for pain and someone to remove the splinter size shark's tooth from his foot.
The report is that he originally thought that he stepped on a stick buried in the sand, until he saw the shark swim away.
