According to a new survey, more than a third of Americans are self-diagnosing their illnesses and injuries on the Internet.

A full 35 percent end up handling their medical problem on their own.

The survey also shows 77 percent of these people start their online medical searches with a search engine instead of a specific health site (13 percent) or social networks such as Facebook (1 percent).

Of course, health officials are worried because the quality of this information is often questionable. You mean the stuff on the Internet isn’t always true?
