Before Keith Urban joined American Idol, Toby Keith made headlines for turning down an opportunity to judge the show. The Big Dog Daddy says it was a lucrative gig, but it took him five seconds decline the offer because of the time commitment.

“I’ve been offered a sitcom by every major network and we’d talk to them. It ends up being too much time. I know three weeks in that I’d be going, ‘I can’t believe I did this.’ And so instead of even thinking about it, I just turned it down quick.”
Toby is dedicating his time to launching his new album Hope on the Rocks, which lands October 30th and includes his single “I Like Girls That Drink Beer.”
