Governor Says Arkansas May Be Opening Back Up Soon - COVID19 Update 4.23.20

During his COVID-19 press conference today, Governor Asa Hutchinson shared the latest information about coronavirus in the state of Arkansas as well as more information about when some area businesses like restaurants and salons will be allowed to reopen. There was also discussion about when Arkansas doctors might begin performing elective procedures and what sort of screening and testing might be involved before allowing any procedure to be performed.

According to the information provided during the briefing today, Governor Hutchinson shared that as of April 23rd, there have been 2,465 reported coronavirus cases in Arkansas, resulting in 45 deaths across the state. It has also been reported that there have been 902 recoveries from coronavirus in the state and that there have been over 29,000 negative tests performed.
